How to Draw a Ferret

Draw a ferret in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Step 1: Egg head
Near the top of your paper, draw an egg head: round on top, tapering down to a small snout.
Tip Leave lots of room under it for a long body.
Step 2: Small round ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a small round ear with a little circle inside.
Tip Stop each ear where it meets the head.
Step 3: Mask and eyes
Across the middle of the face, draw a mask band. Inside it draw 2 big eyes with black dots.
Tip Leave a rim of mask all round each eye.
Step 4: Nose and smile
Low on the snout, draw a triangle nose. Draw a short line from its tip down to a w smile.
Step 5: Short whiskers
Beside the nose, draw 2 short whiskers on each side. Stop before the edge of the head.
Step 6: Long slim body
Start under the left cheek. Draw a long slim body down, round the bottom and up to the right cheek.
Tip Make it taller than the head, and a little wider at the bottom.
Step 7: Front legs
From each side of the body below the chin, draw a short front leg bending in to a round paw.
Tip Fat at the shoulder, thin at the wrist.
Step 8: Feet and ground
Draw a ground line under the body. At each bottom corner draw a bun foot with 2 toe lines.
Step 9: Long tail
From the right hip, draw a thick tail along the ground that curls up to a round tip.
Tip Fat at the body, thin at the tip.
Step 10: Pink nose, cream face
Colour the nose and inner ears pink. Colour the head and ears cream around the pink, mask and eyes.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Tan body
Colour the long body tan around the front legs and feet. Leave the tail white for now.
Step 12: Brown mask and legs
Colour the mask brown around the eyes, then the front legs, feet and tail brown. Go over your lines.
