How to Draw a Faucet
Draw a faucet in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the base.
Step 1: The base
A little right of the middle draw the base like an upside-down bell: a wide foot, sloping sides, rounded top.
Step 2: The curved spout
From the base's top draw a thick tube up, bending left like a swan's neck, and down a little.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the base draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: The spout end
At the end of the spout draw a small flat oval for the opening the water comes out of.
Step 5: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 6: Hot and cold taps
Low on each side of the base draw a short bar sticking out, with a round knob on the end.
Step 7: Running water
From the spout's opening draw 2 lines straight down to the counter, a finger apart, for the stream of water.
Step 8: Splashes
Near the bottom of the stream draw 2 little teardrops, one on each side, for splashes.
Step 9: Counter and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow round the foot, and a counter line from each side of the paper to it.
Step 10: Sky water, pink cheeks
Colour the water and the splashes sky blue and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Red and blue knobs
Colour the left knob red for hot and the right knob blue for cold.
Step 12: Slate faucet
Colour the faucet and shadow grey around the knobs and cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your faucet is running!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a faucet, drawn by you.
