How to Draw a Father’s Day Tie
Draw a Father’s Day tie in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the knot.
Step 1: The knot
Near the top of your paper draw the knot: wide and flat on top, narrower below, with a round bottom.
Step 2: The long tie
From the bottom of the knot draw 2 straight lines going down and apart. Join them in a point.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Halfway down the tie draw 2 big round eyes, a finger apart, with black dots.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add an oval cheek under each eye, beside each end.
Step 5: Collar and dimple
Draw a collar flap on each side of the knot, pointing down over the tie. Add a short dimple line.
Step 6: Slanted stripes
Across the tie draw 3 slanted stripes: one above the eyes, one under the smile and one near the point.
Step 7: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars in the air around the tie.
Step 8: Sparkles and cheeks
Colour the sparkles yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 9: Red stripes
Colour the 3 slanted stripes red.
Step 10: Blue tie
Colour the tie and knot blue, around the red stripes and cheeks, leaving the eyes and collar white.
Tip Go over your lines, and your tie is ready for Dad!
