How to Draw a Fat Cat
Draw a fat cat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw a big egg lying on its side. Give it chubby cheeks.
Tip The head is more than half the whole cat.
Step 2: Pointy ears
Draw a tall pointy ear on each side of the head. Put a small triangle inside each one.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Just below the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Nose and smile
Draw a small upside-down triangle nose under the eyes and colour it in. Hang a wide W smile from it.
Step 5: Big round tummy
Start under each cheek. Draw a huge C out past the head, then round to the middle at the bottom.
Tip Make the body wider than the head: that is the fat cat clue.
Step 6: Front legs
Start under the chin. Draw 2 U legs down to round paws and back up. Add paw curves.
Step 7: Curling tail
Start low on the right tummy. Draw a fat tail along the ground, curling up to a round tip.
Step 8: Tummy patch
Halfway down between the front legs, draw a rainbow for the tummy patch. Start and stop on the legs.
Step 9: Whiskers and stripes
Draw 3 whiskers on each cheek, fanning out. Add 3 short stripes hanging down between the ears.
Step 10: Tail rings and ground
Draw 2 stripes across the tail. Draw a ground line from left of the body to past the tail.
Step 11: Cream tummy
Colour the tummy patch and the paws cream. Colour the inside of the ears pink.
Step 12: Ginger fur
Colour the head, ears, body, legs and tail ginger, around the cream and pink. Leave the eyes white.
