How to Draw a Dolphin Face
Draw a dolphin face in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and body.
Step 1: Head and body
Draw a big dolphin body on its side: pointy beak on the left, round forehead, narrow tail on the right.
Step 2: The fin
On top of the head, behind the middle, draw a curved fin with a round tip leaning back.
Step 3: One big eye
Behind the beak, a little above the middle, draw 1 big round eye with a black dot and shine.
Step 4: Long smile
Start at the point of the beak. Draw a long smile back under the eye, curling up just past it.
Step 5: Belly line
From the bottom of the smile, draw a long belly curve back to the tail.
Step 6: Flipper
Under the tummy, just behind the eye, draw a small leaf flipper pointing down and back.
Step 7: Tail flukes
At the end of the tail, draw 2 curved flukes with round tips, one going up and one going down.
Tip Rub out the tail tip inside the flukes.
Step 8: Bubbles
In front of the forehead, draw 3 bubbles floating up, smallest on top.
Step 9: Cream belly, pink blush
Colour the belly under the smile cream and a pink blush on the cheek.
Step 10: Grey dolphin, blue bubbles
Colour the dolphin grey around the belly and blush, and the bubbles sky blue. Leave the eye white.
