How to Draw a Farmer on a Tractor
Draw a farmer on a tractor in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two wheels.
Step 1: Two wheels
Draw a ground line. On it draw a big round wheel and a small one, each with a hub.
Tip The big wheel is twice as tall as the small one. Leave a wide gap between them.
Step 2: Long hood
Above the small wheel draw a long hood with a round nose and a lamp. Step down behind it.
Tip The hood is level with the top of the big wheel.
Step 3: Fender and stack
Draw a rainbow fender over the big wheel. Stand a tall stack on the hood.
Step 4: Farmer's head
High above the big wheel draw a round head with wide cheeks. Add an ear on the right.
Tip Leave a gap as tall as the head between it and the fender.
Step 5: Friendly face
Draw 2 oval eyes with black dots, a tiny u nose and a big smile.
Tip Leave a tiny white shine in each eye.
Step 6: Straw hat
Draw a wide flat oval across the top of the head. Add a dome on it, with a band.
Tip Rub out the head line inside the hat.
Step 7: Shirt
From under the chin draw the body down to a belt line just above the fender.
Tip He leans forward a little, towards the hood.
Step 8: Leg and boot
From the belt draw a bent leg over the fender, down to a boot on the step.
Tip The knee bends above the gap. The boot toe points to the hood.
Step 9: Arm and hand
From the shoulder draw an arm bending at the elbow and reaching forward. End it in a mitten hand.
Tip Rub out the body line inside the arm.
Step 10: Steering wheel
Draw an oval steering wheel in his hand, a smaller oval inside it, and a post to the hood.
Step 11: Seat
Behind his back draw a tall seat back with a round top, down to the fender.
Step 12: Peach and yellow
Colour the face, ear and hand peach. Colour the hat, the lamp and both hubs yellow, but not the band.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Red and blue
Colour the shirt, the arm and the hat band red. Colour the trousers blue.
Step 14: Green tractor
Colour the tractor green. Colour the tyres, stack, seat and steering wheel dark grey, and the boot black.
