How to Draw a Fall Wreath
Draw a fall wreath in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top and bottom leaves.
Step 1: Top and bottom leaves
Imagine a big ring. Draw a maple leaf at its top pointing up and one at its bottom pointing down.
Tip Every leaf points outwards, away from the middle.
Step 2: Side leaves
Draw a leaf at the left of the ring pointing left, and one at the right pointing right.
Step 3: Upper corner leaves
Between the top leaf and each side leaf, draw a leaf pointing up and out, tucked behind its neighbours.
Step 4: Lower corner leaves
Between the bottom leaf and each side leaf, draw a leaf pointing down and out, tucked behind its neighbours.
Step 5: Leaf veins
On each leaf, start at its base and draw 1 short line out along its middle.
Step 6: The bow
Draw a small knot at the ring's bottom. Start on it, loop out to each side, and stop on it.
Step 7: Ribbon tails
Start under the knot. Draw 2 ribbon tails hanging down, one swinging left and one right, ending in points.
Step 8: Acorns
On the 4 corner leaves, draw a little acorn each: a tiny egg with a flat cap on top.
Step 9: A hanger
Start beside the top leaf's tip, loop up and stop on its other side. Add a circle inside.
Step 10: Yellow leaves, tan caps
Colour the 2 side leaves yellow, and the acorn caps tan.
Step 11: Orange and red leaves
Colour the top and bottom leaves orange, and the 4 corner leaves red, around the acorns.
Step 12: Red bow, brown nuts
Colour the bow and the hanger red, leaving the hole white, and the acorn nuts brown. Go over your lines!
