How to Draw Evaporation
Draw evaporation in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the puddle.
Step 1: The puddle
Low on your paper draw a wide, flat, wobbly puddle. Draw the ground along its bottom, almost to each edge.
Step 2: The sun
In the top right corner draw a round sun, as big as a plum. Leave room round it for rays.
Step 3: Sun's eyes
On the sun draw 2 eggy eyes, a little above the middle. Put a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Sun's smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile. Add a tiny oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Eight rays
Round the sun draw 8 pointy triangle rays. Start each one on the circle and come back to the circle.
Step 6: A cloud
In the top left corner draw a puffy cloud: 5 round bumps on top and a gentle line underneath.
Step 7: Ripple rings
In the middle of the puddle draw a flat oval, and a smaller one inside it.
Step 8: Steam rising
Just above the puddle, draw a wiggly line going up. Stop well below the cloud. Draw 2 more beside it.
Step 9: Rising drops
Draw 3 tiny water drops floating up beside the steam, each with its point on top.
Step 10: Yellow sun, pink cheeks
Colour the sun yellow around its eyes and cheeks, and the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes and cloud white.
Step 11: Orange rays, blue water
Go over your lines. Colour the 8 rays orange. Colour the puddle and the 3 drops blue.
