How to Draw an Emerald
Draw an emerald in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the emerald.
Step 1: The emerald
In the middle of your paper draw a big wide box with all 4 corners cut off.
Step 2: The table
Inside it draw the same shape smaller, leaving an even border all round.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the table draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each and leave a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Corner facets
At each cut corner draw a short line from the outer slant in to the matching corner of the table.
Step 6: Shine
On the left border, near the top, draw one short up-and-down line for the shine.
Step 7: A cushion
Under the emerald draw a wide puffy pillow with round ends. Its top tucks behind the emerald.
Step 8: Sparkles and ground
Draw 4 sparkle stars round the emerald, 2 on each side. Add a ground line under the cushion.
Step 9: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the 4 sparkles yellow and the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 10: Leaf-green table
Colour the table leaf green, going around the face. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Green border
Colour the border green, all the way around the table.
Step 12: Purple cushion
Colour the cushion purple, and your emerald is done!
