How to Draw a Coin
Draw a coin in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the coin.
Step 1: The coin
In the middle of your paper draw 1 big round circle for the coin, about as wide as your hand.
Step 2: The rim
Draw a second circle inside the first, a finger in all round, so the coin has a rim.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the coin draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Draw a small flat oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 5: A shine
On the rim at the top left, draw 1 short curve that follows the ring, for a shine.
Step 6: A star
Under the smile draw a little five-point star.
Step 7: Two small coins
Beside the bottom of the big coin draw 2 small coins: a little circle with a smaller one inside.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line under all 3 coins, from left of the first small coin to right of the other.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars round the coin: 2 up top and 1 out on the right.
Step 10: Pink cheeks, sky sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the sparkles sky blue and the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Yellow coins
Colour inside the rim yellow around the eyes, cheeks and star, and the small coins too. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Orange rim and star
Colour the rim ring and the star orange, and your coin is shining!

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a coin, drawn by you.
