How to Draw an Egyptian Queen

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw an Egyptian queen in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Egg head

Near the top of your paper draw an egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave lots of room below the head for the long dress.

  2. Step 2: The face

Draw 2 eyes with black dots and an eye-paint flick at each outer corner. Add a nose and smile.

  3. Step 3: Hair and fringe

Start on the left of the head by the eyebrows. Draw the hair over the top, down to the right.

  4. Step 4: Bob and headband

Draw straight hair from each side down to the jaw, cut flat. Add a thin band across the forehead.

Tip Keep the sides straight and the bottom flat, like a neat helmet.

  5. Step 5: Neck and dress

Draw 2 neck lines down from the chin. From the left one, draw the sleeves and dress back to it.

  6. Step 6: Wide collar and belt

Start on the left shoulder. Draw a wide U across the chest up to the right shoulder. Add a belt.

  7. Step 7: Arms

From each sleeve draw 2 lines down to the wrist, a little closer together at the bottom.

  8. Step 8: Mitten hands

Start at each outside wrist. Draw a round mitten with a thumb pointing in, and stop at the inside wrist.

  9. Step 9: Cobra crown

On the middle of the headband draw a little cobra standing up, with a round hood.

Tip A royal cobra on the headband shows everyone she is the queen.

  10. Step 10: Sandals and ground

Under the hem draw 2 sandals peeking out, toes pointing out. Draw a long ground line under them.

  11. Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the face, neck, arms and hands peach, with pink cheeks. Keep the eyes white. Go over your lines.

  12. Step 12: Gold crown and collar

Colour the headband, the cobra, the collar and the sandals yellow, like gold.

  13. Step 13: White dress, black hair

Leave the dress white. Colour the hair black around the headband and cobra.
