How to Draw a Cowgirl
Draw a cowgirl in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the skirt and boots.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 round eyes with black dots and a lash at each outer corner. Add a U nose and smile.
Step 3: Pigtails
Beside each eye, draw a little hair tie on the head, with a pointy bunch of hair hanging down.
Step 4: Cowgirl hat
Above the eyes, draw a long oval brim. From the brim, draw a crown up and over, back to it.
Step 5: Shirt and neckerchief
Draw 2 neck lines. Start at one, draw a short-sleeved shirt round to the other. Add a V neckerchief.
Step 6: Fringed skirt
Draw a skirt from the shirt out to a bumpy hem. Draw a line across it with fringe lines below.
Step 7: Arms
From each sleeve, draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending gently at the elbow and getting narrower.
Step 8: Mitten hands
At the bottom of each arm, draw a round mitten hand with a little thumb pointing in.
Step 9: Legs
Start on the hem. Draw 2 lines down for each leg, stopping where the boots begin.
Step 10: Boots and ground
Under each leg, draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Add a ground line under the boots.
Step 11: Peach skin
Colour the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Yellow hair, pink shirt
Colour the pigtails yellow and the shirt pink.
Step 13: Brown hat and boots
Colour the neckerchief and hair ties red, and the hat, skirt and boots brown. Go over your lines.
