How to Draw an Eclair
Draw an eclair in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Across the middle of your paper draw a long flat oval for the plate.
Step 2: The rim
Just inside the plate draw a second flat oval for the rim.
Step 3: The eclair
On the plate draw a long fat sausage lying down, a little shorter than the rim.
Tip An eclair is a long puffy pastry, like a little log.
Step 4: The chocolate edge
Above the middle draw a soft wavy line from the left end to the right end.
Step 5: The cream line
A finger below it draw a second soft wavy line from end to end.
Step 6: The table
Draw a table line under the plate from far left to far right, touching its bottom.
Step 7: Cream filling
Go over your lines. Colour the stripe between the wavy lines cream.
Step 8: Tan pastry
Colour the pastry under the cream stripe tan.
Step 9: Sky plate
Colour the plate sky blue, going around the eclair.
Step 10: Pink dots
With a pink crayon dot 4 tiny sprinkles on the chocolate.
Step 11: Brown chocolate
Colour the chocolate brown around the pink dots, leaving a curved white shine. Your eclair is done!
