How to Draw a Chayote
Draw a chayote in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the chayote.
Step 1: The chayote
Left of the middle draw a tall pear shape: narrow at the top, wide and round at the bottom.
Tip A chayote is a wrinkly pear-shaped squash. The wrinkles make it!
Step 2: The stem
On top draw a short stem of 2 lines leaning up to the right, rounded at the top.
Step 3: The puckered bottom
At the very bottom, inside the outline, draw a short wavy line across, like a puckered kiss.
Step 4: Deep lines
From the neck draw 3 long lines down to the puckered mouth: left, middle and right, following the bulge.
Step 5: One more line
On the left side draw one more shorter line, starting halfway down the side and curving down to the mouth.
Step 6: A second chayote
Behind the first, on the right, draw a smaller pear-shaped chayote peeking out, with 2 lines down it.
Step 7: A shine
Inside the upper left of the big chayote draw a thin oval sliver for a shine.
Step 8: The ground
Draw a ground line from left to right under both chayotes, just touching their bottoms.
Step 9: Green chayote
Go over your lines, then colour both chayotes pale leaf green, leaving the shine white.
Step 10: Brown stem
Colour the stem brown, and your chayote is done!
