How to Draw an Easter Basket
Draw an Easter basket in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the basket.
Step 1: The basket
Below the middle of your paper draw a wide bowl with a round bottom. Draw a smile across the top.
Tip Make it wide, like a big soup bowl.
Step 2: Rim and handle
Draw a thick tall arch handle from rim end to rim end. Add a low rainbow from foot to foot.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Below the rim draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye-width apart. Add a big black dot with 2 white shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Three eggs
Draw 3 eggs sitting in the basket, poking over the back rim, pointy ends up. The middle one is tallest.
Step 6: Egg patterns
Give the middle egg a zigzag over 3 dots, the left egg 2 stripes, and the right egg 3 dots.
Step 7: Rim band
Draw the top smile again, a little lower, from the left side to the right side.
Step 8: A bow
High on the left of the handle draw a little bow: a round knot with a fat loop each side.
Step 9: Grass and ground
Start well left of the basket and draw a ground line across to the right. Add grass at each end.
Step 10: Pink and blue eggs
Colour the left egg pink and the middle egg sky blue. Colour the bow pink too.
Step 11: Yellow egg, pink cheeks
Colour the right egg yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Tan basket
Colour the basket tan, the handle and the inside brown, around the eggs, bow and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
