How to Draw an Easel
Draw an easel in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the canvas.
Step 1: The canvas
In the middle, a little high, draw a big box for the canvas, a bit wider than tall.
Step 2: Two front legs
From above the canvas draw a long fat stick behind it, down to the bottom left. Same on the right.
Step 3: Back leg
From between the 2 leg tops draw a third fat stick straight down behind the canvas, ending level with them.
Step 4: Top cap
Where the 3 legs meet at the top draw a small soft box to hold them together.
Step 5: The shelf
Under the canvas draw one flat stick across from the left leg to the right leg, poking out past each.
Step 6: A sun
In the top right of the canvas draw a round sun with 6 short rays.
Step 7: Hills and a cloud
Draw a hill from bottom to right. Behind it, a bigger one from the left. Add a cloud top left.
Step 8: Ground and sparkles
Draw a ground line under the legs from left to right. Add a sparkle star on each side.
Step 9: Yellow sun, white cloud
Colour the sun and sparkles yellow. Leave the cloud white.
Step 10: Sky and green hills
Colour the sky light blue around the sun, cloud and hills, then the 2 hills green.
Step 11: Wood easel
Go over your lines. Colour the 3 legs, the cap and the shelf wood brown. Ready for painting!
