How to Draw a Doorstop
Draw a doorstop in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the wedge.
Step 1: The wedge
Low on the right draw a big wedge: one straight slope from a thin tip up to a tall end.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the thick end of the wedge draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each eye.
Step 4: The door
Behind the thin end of the wedge draw a tall door, its bottom edge a little above the wedge's bottom.
Step 5: The door panel
On the door draw a tall box for the panel, leaving room on the right for the knob.
Step 6: The door knob
Between the panel and the right edge of the door draw a small round knob.
Step 7: Floor line
Start a little in from the left edge. Draw a floor line under the wedge, stopping near the right edge.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 3 four-point sparkles in the empty space above the wedge to make it shine.
Step 9: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the sparkles and the knob yellow and the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.
Step 10: Wood door
Colour the door wood brown around the knob.
Step 11: Red wedge
Colour the wedge red around the eyes and cheeks.
