How to Draw a Donut Cat

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a donut cat in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big soft head.

Print

  1. Step 1: Big soft head

Near the top draw a big soft head, wider than tall, like a bun.

Tip Leave lots of room underneath for the donut.

  2. Step 2: Pointy ears

Draw a pointy ear on each top corner of the head. Add a small triangle inside each one.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

In the middle of the head draw 2 big oval eyes. Add black dots and white shines.

  4. Step 4: Nose and smile

Between the eyes, a little lower, draw a tiny pink triangle nose. From its point draw a W smile.

  5. Step 5: Arms and paws

From under each cheek draw an arm down to a round mitten paw, then up to the chin.

Tip The 2 paws touch in the middle. Add a curve across each paw and 2 toe lines.

  6. Step 6: The donut

Draw the ground line, then a big wide oval around the paws for the donut. It hides behind the head.

Tip Make it much wider than the head.

  7. Step 7: The donut hole

From each arm draw a curve out sideways and back to the paw. The cat sits in this hole.

  8. Step 8: Drippy frosting

Start at the left edge of the donut. Draw a wavy line of drips across to the right edge.

  9. Step 9: Sprinkles

On the frosting draw 6 tiny sausage sprinkles, 3 on each side, all tilted different ways.

  10. Step 10: Whiskers and stripes

Draw 2 whiskers out from each cheek and 3 short stripes down from the top of the head.

  11. Step 11: Colourful sprinkles

Colour 3 sprinkles yellow and 3 sprinkles light blue.

  12. Step 12: Tan and cream

Colour the donut tan under the drips and inside the hole. Colour the 2 paws cream.

  13. Step 13: Pink frosting

Colour the frosting pink, around the sprinkles, the paws and the cat. Colour inside the ears pink too.

  14. Step 14: Ginger cat

Colour the cat ginger, around the cream paws and pink ears. Leave the eyes white.
