How to Draw a Muscovy Duck
Draw a Muscovy duck in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: head and tuft.
Step 1: Head and tuft
Near the top left, draw a small round head. Add 3 low bumps on top. Leave room behind it.
Tip Keep the bumps low and round, like little hills.
Step 2: Flat bill
Start on the front of the head. Draw a short flat bill and stop at the chin.
Step 3: Eye and mask
Draw a big eye. From the forehead, draw a bumpy line round behind the eye, stopping under the head.
Tip The bumpy line is the edge of the red face mask.
Step 4: Short neck
Start under the head. Draw 2 short lines down for the neck, and stop where the body will go.
Step 5: Long low body
Start at the back neck line. Draw a long low body like a loaf. Stop at the front neck line.
Step 6: Big wing
On the body, draw a big teardrop wing pointing back. Add 2 short feather lines underneath.
Step 7: Flat tail
Start on the back of the body. Draw a flat pointed tail sticking out. Stop back on the body.
Step 8: Two short legs
Start on the tummy. Draw 2 short legs with webbed feet of 3 round toes. Stop on the tummy.
Step 9: Ground and grass
Start at the left edge. Draw a ground line under the feet to the right edge. Add grass.
Step 10: Pink bill, red mask
Colour the bill and legs pink and the mask red. Leave the eye and wing white.
Step 11: Dark grey feathers
Colour the head, neck, body and tail dark grey, around the mask, eye and wing.
