How to Draw a Dog Bed
Draw a dog bed in 9 easy steps, about 7 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bed.
Step 1: The bed
In the middle of your paper draw a big egg lying down, high at the back, flatter at the front.
Tip A soft basket: round at the back, low at the front.
Step 2: The cushion
Inside the bed draw a wide oval cushion. Leave a thick band above it and a thinner band below.
Step 3: Front dip
On the front draw an upside-down U from the bottom edge up to the cushion. Rub out the line between.
Tip This is where the dog steps in.
Step 4: A bone
In the middle of the cushion draw a bone: a short bar with 2 round knobs at each end.
Step 5: Paw print
On top of the back, in the middle, draw a paw print: an oval pad with 4 tiny toes above.
Step 6: Stitch lines
On each side of the back draw a short stitch line that follows the curve.
Step 7: Ground line
Draw a ground line under the bed, from left to right, a little wider than the bed.
Step 8: Cream cushion, white bone
Go over your lines, then colour the cushion cream and the bone white.
Step 9: Red bed
Colour the bed red, around the cushion and the bone. The bed is ready for a nap!

Your finished drawing
