How to Draw a Baby Eagle
Draw a baby eagle in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big egg head.
Step 1: Big egg head
Near the top, draw a big egg, fat side down. It is most of the chick.
Step 2: Fluffy crest
On top of the head, draw a crest of 5 soft round feather tufts, tallest in the middle.
Step 3: Two big shiny eyes
On the middle of the head, draw 2 big eggy eyes, one eye apart, with black dots and shines.
Step 4: Hooked beak
Under the eyes, draw a wide beak, curling down to a hooked point above the chin.
Step 5: Round fluffy tummy
Under the head, draw a round tummy with fluffy bumps at the bottom. Start and stop on the head.
Step 6: Two plump wings
For each wing, start on the tummy under the head. Go halfway down, draw 3 bumps in, and curve up.
Step 7: Little fan tail
Low on the right of the tummy, under the wing, draw 3 short round feathers fanning out.
Step 8: Two legs with toes
On each side, draw a short fat stalk down from the tummy. Add 3 round toes off its bottom.
Step 9: The ground
Draw a straight ground line under the toes, a hand wide on each side.
Step 10: Yellow beak and feet
Colour the beak, legs and toes yellow, and dab a pink cheek on each side.
Step 11: Stone wings, grey fluff
Colour the wings stone grey. Colour the rest grey, around the beak, cheeks and wings. Leave the eyes white.
