How to Draw Dinner Rolls

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw dinner rolls in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the first roll.

Print

  1. Step 1: The first roll

A little left of the middle draw a puffy round roll, like a wide low dome with a flat bottom.

  2. Step 2: Second roll

On the right draw another roll, tucked a little behind the first. Only draw the parts you can see.

  3. Step 3: Third roll

Behind the 2, in the middle and a little higher, draw a third roll peeking out above them.

  4. Step 4: Slashes

On the top middle of each roll draw 1 short slanted dash, all leaning up to the right.

  5. Step 5: Shines

On the left side of the 2 front rolls draw a thin tilted oval for a shine.

  6. Step 6: A plate

Start on the left of the left roll, near its bottom. Draw a wide flat oval plate behind the rolls.

  7. Step 7: The table

Draw a table line under the plate from left to right, just touching its bottom.

  8. Step 8: Steam

Above the back roll draw 2 short wavy steam lines. Start just above the roll and stop a little higher.

  9. Step 9: Tan rolls

Go over your lines, then colour all 3 rolls tan, leaving the shines white.

  10. Step 10: Sky plate

Colour the plate sky blue around the rolls. Your rolls are ready!
