How to Draw Dice
Draw dice in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the front.
Step 1: The front
Left of the middle, a little low, draw a big square with softly rounded corners, half the page wide.
Tip Only soften the corners a tiny bit: it is a cube, not a blob.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Above the middle, draw 2 BIG egg eyes, an eye apart, with a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Top with 3 dots
From the top left corner, slant up, across, and slant down to the top right corner. Add 3 flat dots.
Tip Squash the dots flat like coins lying down: that makes the top look flat.
Step 4: Side with 2 dots
From the top's back corner, go straight down, then slant down to the bottom right corner. Add 2 tall dots.
Step 5: Big open smile
Under the eyes, draw a line. Hang a big U from one end down to the other. Add a tongue.
Step 6: Brows and cheeks
Above each eye, draw a short rainbow brow. Add a small flat cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 7: Shadow
Under the die, draw a long flat oval shadow poking out on both sides, more to the right.
Step 8: Cream top, pink cheeks
Colour the top cream around the 3 dots, the cheeks and tongue pink. Leave the front and eyes white.
Step 9: Stone grey side
Colour the side of the die stone grey, around the 2 dots.
Step 10: Grey shadow, black mouth
Colour the shadow grey and the mouth black above the tongue. Go over your lines!
