How to Draw a Desk
Draw a desk in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the desk top.
Step 1: The desk top
A little above the middle draw a long flat plank with soft corners, nearly edge to edge, a finger tall.
Step 2: The drawer box
Under the right half of the plank draw a drawer box, with a soft square front a little inside it.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the drawer front draw 2 big round eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile from eye to eye, with a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Leg and floor
Under the left end draw a thin leg, then a long floor line under the leg and the drawer box.
Tip The leg reaches down as far as the drawer box.
Step 6: A handle
Near the top of the drawer front, in the middle, draw a small flat handle with round ends.
Step 7: Pencil cup
On the desk's left draw a tall cup, then 2 pencils from its rim, each ending in a pointed tip.
Step 8: Desk edge
Draw a line along the middle of the plank, from end to end, for the desk's edge.
Step 9: Pink cheeks, yellow pencils
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink and the pencils yellow.
Step 10: Tan drawer front
Colour the drawer front and the pencil tips tan, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Wood desk, blue cup
Colour the plank, the leg and the drawer box wood brown, around the drawer front, and the cup blue.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a desk, drawn by you.
