How to Draw a Bucket Hat
Draw a bucket hat in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the crown.
Step 1: The crown
Start low on the left. Curve up over a round top and stop level on the right. Join the bottoms.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the crown draw 2 big egg eyes, an eye-width apart. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a shine.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: Brim on a table
Start at the crown's bottom-left, draw a lampshade brim round to the bottom-right, then a table line under it.
Step 5: Stitch line
A finger inside the bottom of the brim, draw a matching curve from the left edge across to the right.
Step 6: The band
Just above the crown's bottom, start on the left side and draw a sagging curve across to the right.
Step 7: Two sparkles
Draw a sparkle star top-right of the hat and a smaller one on the left.
Step 8: Sand hat
Go over your lines, then colour the crown and the brim sand, leaving the eyes, cheeks and band white.
Step 9: Green band, pink cheeks
Colour the band green and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles
Colour the sparkles yellow, and your bucket hat is done!
