How to Draw a Bandana
Draw a bandana in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the top edge.
Step 1: The top edge
Start high on the left. Draw a wide smile that dips in the middle, stopping high on the right.
Tip Make it wide, almost from one side of the page to the other.
Step 2: The big point
From each end of the smile, draw a line down to meet in a point at the bottom.
Tip Bow the two lines out a little so the cloth looks soft.
Step 3: The fold
Start on the left side, just under the corner. Draw a second smile, stopping on the right side.
Step 4: The knot
Over the right corner, draw a small round knot like a bean.
Step 5: Top tail
From the knot, draw a short tail pointing up and out. Cut a little V into its end.
Step 6: Bottom tail
Draw another tail from the knot pointing down and out, with a V cut in its end.
Step 7: Border stripe
Start on the fold. Draw a V inside the point, stopping on the fold. Add a smaller V inside.
Step 8: Three dots
Under the fold, draw 3 round dots in a row, with the middle one a little lower.
Step 9: Two more dots
Under those, draw 2 more dots, one each side of the middle.
Step 10: Red bandana
Go over your lines. Colour the big point red, around the dots. Leave the dots and the stripe white.
Step 11: Dark red knot
Colour the folded band, the knot and both tails dark red. Your bandana is done!
