Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: table top.

Print

  1. Step 1: Table top

In the middle of your paper draw a long flat box, about a thumb tall.

  2. Step 2: Two slanted legs

Under the top draw 2 fat legs that lean apart like a letter A. Stop a hand above the bottom.

Tip Wide legs keep the table from tipping over.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

On the front of the top draw 2 big egg eyes. Add a black dot with 2 white shines.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Between the eyes, a bit lower, draw a small U smile. Add an oval cheek below and outside each eye.

  5. Step 5: Cross bar

Halfway down the legs draw a long thin box across both legs, sticking far out on each side.

  6. Step 6: Two bench seats

Start at each end of the long box. Draw a flat bench on top and stop back on the box.

  7. Step 7: An apple

On the right side of the table top draw a round apple with a stem and a leaf.

  8. Step 8: Ground and grass

Draw a ground line under the legs from side to side. Add 3 little grass tufts on it.

  9. Step 9: Pink cheeks

Colour the 2 cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.

  10. Step 10: Wood table

Colour the top, legs, bar and seats wood brown, around the eyes and pink cheeks.

  11. Step 11: Red apple, green grass

Colour the apple red and the leaf and grass green. Your picnic table is ready for lunch outside!
