How to Draw a Delivery Van

Step 1: Loaf top

Start low left. Go up the front, round a soft corner, along the roof, and down to the same level.

Tip An upside-down U almost twice as long as tall. The front corner is roundest.

Step 2: Floor with wheel bumps

Start at the bottom of the front. Draw the floor back with 2 rainbow bumps, up to the back wall.

Tip Now the van is one closed shape with 2 holes for the wheels.

Step 3: Eye, smile and bumper

Draw a headlight eye on the front. Under the eye draw a small smile. Add a bumper.

Tip A fat level pill bumper sits over the front corner like a chin.

Step 4: Two fat tyres

Under each bump draw a big circle tyre, a little smaller than the bump, leaving a ring of air above.

Step 5: The big windscreen

A finger inside the front corner draw a big window that follows the round corner, flat under the roof.

Step 6: The door window

A finger behind the windscreen draw one chunky rounded box, as tall as the windscreen. The rest stays solid.

Step 7: The stripe

Start on the back wall under the windows. Draw a line that dips over the eye. Stop on the front.

Step 8: Door and tail light

From the stripe draw 2 door lines down to the floor. Add a handle between them and a tail light.

Tip Put the door lines under the 2 sides of the door window.

Step 9: Parcel logo

On the back panel draw a big soft box. Rule a line across and one down, like parcel tape.

Step 10: Hubcaps and road

Draw a hubcap circle in each tyre. From in front of the van draw a straight road, stopping behind it.

Step 11: Cream top, sky windows

Colour the van cream from the roof down to the stripe. Colour the windows sky blue, leaving a shine white.

Step 12: Yellow light, blue bottom

Colour the tail light yellow, and the van blue below the stripe, around the headlight, handle and parcel.

Step 13: Brown parcel, black tyres

Colour the parcel brown and the tyres black. The headlight, handle, bumper and hubcaps stay white.
