How to Draw a Bulldozer

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a bulldozer in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cab.

Print

  1. Step 1: The cab

In the middle of your paper draw a box, a bit wider than tall. Round the top corners.

  2. Step 2: Brim roof

Start on the top right corner. Draw a shallow rainbow over the box and end at the top left corner.

Tip The roof pokes out past both ends like a hat brim.

  3. Step 3: The round face

On the right end of the box draw a BIG circle for the face, nearly as tall as the box.

  4. Step 4: Eyes, smile and cheeks

Draw 2 big eyes. From under the left eye, draw a U smile to the right. Add 2 pink cheeks.

  5. Step 5: The big window

Left of the face, draw one tall window with round corners, a finger in from the walls.

Tip One big window so the driver can see all round.

  6. Step 6: Blade and arms

In front, draw a tall blade like a thick C. Draw 2 arms from the cab across to it.

Tip Keep its top and bottom flat, and let it reach lower than the cab.

  7. Step 7: Exhaust pipe

Start on the roof near the back. Draw a thin pipe up, round the top, back down to the roof.

  8. Step 8: Track and wheels

From the box's bottom left, draw a long pill under it, back to its bottom right. Add 4 wheels inside.

  9. Step 9: The ground

Start left of the track. Draw a long ground line under the track and blade, stopping past the blade.

  10. Step 10: Blue window, grey blade

Colour the window sky blue. Leave the face white. Colour the blade and pipe light grey.

  11. Step 11: Yellow cab

Go over your lines. Colour the cab, roof and arms yellow, going around the window and face.

    Tip Keep the eyes white.

  12. Step 12: Dark grey track

Colour the track and wheels dark grey. Leave the hubs white.
