How to Draw a Number One Dad Trophy
Draw a number one dad trophy in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Near the top of your paper, draw a long flat oval for the top of the cup.
Tip Keep it thin, like a plate seen from the side.
Step 2: The cup
Start at the left end of the oval. Draw a big U down and round, up to the right end.
Tip Make both sides match, like the letter U.
Step 3: Two handles
On each side, draw a thick C handle. Start on the cup near the top and stop lower down.
Tip Draw the big C first, then a smaller C inside it.
Step 4: The stem
Start under the cup, each side of the middle. Draw a curve down and out. Stop where it spreads wide.
Step 5: The big base
Under the stem, draw a big wide box with soft corners. Add a ground line under it.
Step 6: Number 1
On the front of the cup, draw a big block number 1 with a flat foot.
Tip The 1 is for number one, the very best.
Step 7: The plaque
On the front of the base, draw a long box with a gap all the way round.
Step 8: Write DAD
Inside the plaque, write DAD in big letters: a D, an A and another D.
Tip Make all 3 letters the same height.
Step 9: Two sparkles
Draw 2 sparkles with 4 points each, one up on the left and one on the right.
Step 10: Cream and yellow
Colour the oval and the plaque cream. Colour the cup, handles and stem yellow, around the number.
Step 11: Red number
Colour the big number 1 red.
Step 12: Brown base
Go over your lines. Colour the base brown, around the cream plaque.
