How to Draw a Cupcake Tower
Draw a cupcake tower in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top cup.
Step 1: Top cup
Above the middle, draw a U cup from the left across to the right. Add 2 lines down it.
Tip A cupcake cup is a little bucket.
Step 2: Frosting dome
Start just left of the cup. Draw 4 wavy drips across to the right. Add a plump hill on top.
Step 3: A cherry
On the very top of the hill, draw a round cherry with a short curly stem.
Step 4: Top plate
Under the top cup, draw a small flat oval plate passing behind the cup, just touching its bottom.
Step 5: The stand
Under the top plate, draw 2 lines down, as long as the cupcake is tall. Add a small round foot.
Tip The stem holds the top plate up.
Step 6: Two more cups
On each side of the stem, draw a U cup from left across to right. Add 2 lines down each.
Step 7: Their frosting
On each bottom cup, start top left. Draw 4 drips across to the right and a hill on top.
Step 8: Two cherries
Put a round cherry with a curly stem on top of each bottom cupcake.
Step 9: Bottom plate
Under the bottom cups, draw a big flat oval plate behind them. Add a long ground line under it.
Step 10: Cream stand
Go over your lines, then colour the 2 plates and the stand cream.
Step 11: Pink frosting
Colour all 3 frosting domes pink.
Step 12: Blue cups, red cherries
Colour the 3 paper cups sky blue and the cherries red.
