How to Draw a Cricket Wicket
Draw a cricket wicket in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle stump.
Step 1: The middle stump
Left of the middle, draw a tall thin stump: start low, go up and round the top, stop low.
Step 2: 2 more stumps
Draw a stump the same on each side of the middle one, starting and stopping just as low.
Step 3: 2 bails
Lay 2 little rounded bars on the tops, left stump to middle stump, then middle stump to right stump.
Step 4: The ball
Right of the stumps draw a round ball, its bottom level with the bottoms of the stumps.
Step 5: 2 big eyes
Just above the middle of the ball draw 2 egg eyes a little apart, each with a big black dot.
Step 6: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 7: The seam
Above the eyes draw one gentle curve across the ball, from edge to edge, for the seam.
Step 8: Ground and grass
Start near the left edge and draw a ground line under everything, stop near the right edge. Add grass blades.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 3 little sparkle stars in the air around the wicket to make it shine.
Step 10: Tan stumps
Colour the 3 stumps and the 2 bails tan, like pale wood.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles
Colour the 2 cheeks pink and the 3 sparkles yellow.
Step 12: Red ball
Go over your lines, then colour the ball red, around the eyes and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a cricket wicket, drawn by you.
