How to Draw a Net
Draw a net in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the hoop.
Step 1: The hoop
Near the top, a little left, draw a circle for the hoop. Leave room below for a long handle.
Step 2: The bag
Start on the hoop's top right. Draw a deep bag drooping down and right, back to the hoop's bottom right.
Step 3: A happy face
In the hoop draw 2 big round eyes, a wide U smile under them, and a cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The handle
Draw a long thin handle from the hoop's bottom, leaning left, nearly to the paper's bottom, with a round end.
Step 5: The collar
Where the handle meets the hoop draw a short wide band across the handle, a little wider than the handle.
Step 6: Mesh across
Inside the bag draw 3 curved lines across it, top to bottom, each bending like the hoop's edge.
Step 7: Mesh down
Now draw 3 curved lines along the bag, from the hoop out to the round end, crossing the first lines.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 3 sparkle stars around the net: 4 dots like a plus sign joined with curves that dip in.
Step 9: Yellow stars, pink cheeks
Colour the 3 stars yellow and the cheeks pink.
Step 10: Sky blue net
Colour inside the hoop and the bag sky blue, around the face and the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Grey collar, brown handle
Colour the collar grey and the handle wood brown. Go over your lines, and your net is ready!
