How to Draw a Crib

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a crib in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two posts.

Print

  1. Step 1: Two posts

Below the middle draw 2 tall thin posts, left and right. Put a round knob on each.

  2. Step 2: The top rail

Between the posts, a little under the knobs, draw a long flat bar from post to post.

  3. Step 3: The bottom rail

A hand below the top rail, draw another flat bar from post to post.

  4. Step 4: The pillow

Just under the top rail on the left, draw a puffy pillow like a soft box.

  5. Step 5: Mattress and blanket

Above the bottom rail, draw a mattress line post to post, then a wavy blanket top post to post.

  6. Step 6: The bars

Between the rails draw 7 thin bars straight down, evenly spaced, in front of the blanket.

  7. Step 7: The mobile arm

Start on the right knob. Curve an arm up and over to the left, stopping a little before the middle.

  8. Step 8: Moon and star

From the arm draw 2 short strings down, stopping a little lower. Hang a moon and a star on them.

  9. Step 9: The floor

Draw a long floor line across the paper, touching the bottom of the posts and stopping near each edge.

  10. Step 10: Yellow and cream

Go over your lines, then colour the moon and the star yellow and the mattress cream.

  11. Step 11: Blue blanket

Colour the blanket blue between the bars, leaving the pillow white.

  12. Step 12: Wood crib

Colour the posts, knobs and rails wood brown.

  13. Step 13: Wood bars

Colour the 7 bars wood brown too, and your crib is ready for a baby!
