How to Draw a Stuffed Duck
Draw a stuffed duck in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.
Step 1: Big head
Near the top of your paper, draw a big head, wider than tall, like an egg on its side.
Tip The head is almost half of the whole duck.
Step 2: A tuft
On top of the head, draw 3 round feather curls, the middle one tallest, starting and ending on the head.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Across the middle of the head, draw 2 big round eyes. Add a big black dot and shine in each.
Step 4: Flat bill
Low on the face, draw a wide flat bill like a squashed oval.
Step 5: Bill line
Draw one gentle line across the middle of the bill from side to side, curving up at each end.
Step 6: Round belly
Start under the left cheek. Draw a pear body and stop under the right cheek. Add an oval tummy patch.
Tip The body is narrower than the head.
Step 7: Hugging arms
Start under the left cheek. Draw a sausage arm bending in to a mitten, back to the cheek. Same right.
Step 8: Haunches and feet
Under the left arm, draw a C haunch past the body, then a foot with 3 round toes. Same right.
Step 9: Webs and ground
On each foot, draw 2 short web lines from the toe dips. Add a ground line under the feet.
Step 10: Tail feather
Behind the right haunch, draw a short tail feather pointing up and out to the right, like a curved flame.
Step 11: A bow
Under the chin, draw a bow: 2 loops with a round knot in the middle.
Step 12: Cream and yellow
Colour the tummy patch cream, then the head, body, arms, haunches and tail yellow around it. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Orange bill, blue bow
Colour the bill and the feet orange, and colour the bow blue. Your stuffed duck is done!
