How to Draw a Cherry Tomato Vine

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a cherry tomato vine in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the vine.

Print

  1. Step 1: The vine

Start at the left. Draw a thick stem arching over to the right, getting thinner to a point.

Tip Cherry tomatoes grow in a string along one stem, like beads.

  2. Step 2: 3 stalks

From the vine draw 3 short bent stalks, stopping a fingertip down: one on the left, 2 in the middle.

  3. Step 3: 3 tomatoes

Under each stalk draw a round tomato touching its end. Make them a little different in size.

  4. Step 4: 2 more

Further right draw 2 more short stalks and hang a tomato from each, each a touch smaller.

  5. Step 5: Star leaves

On top of every tomato draw a big star with 5 pointy leaves, 2 poking up past the top.

  6. Step 6: A leaf

From the top of the vine draw a leaf pointing up and left: out to a point and back.

  7. Step 7: The vein

Start at the leaf's base and draw one curved vein to near its tip.

  8. Step 8: Light green tomato

Go over your lines. Colour the last tomato light green, leaving its star and a small shine white.

  9. Step 9: Green vine and stars

Colour the vine, the leaf and all 5 stars green.

  10. Step 10: Red tomatoes

Colour the other 4 tomatoes red around the stars, leaving a small shine white. Your cherry tomatoes are done!
