How to Draw a Conductor
Draw a conductor in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Below the middle of the head draw 2 big round eyes with shines. Add a tiny nose, smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Soft hair cap
Start on the left of the head at eyebrow height. Draw soft tufts over the top, ending on the right.
Tip Round bumps like little clouds, not spikes.
Step 4: Neck and tailcoat
From the chin draw 2 neck lines. Add shoulders and a coat down to 2 pointed tails, leaving arm gaps.
Step 5: Shirt and bow tie
Inside the collar draw a long V for the shirt front. At the top add a little bow tie.
Step 6: Long sleeves
From each arm gap draw a sleeve up and out, bent at the elbow, stopping level with the eyes.
Step 7: Cuffs, hands and baton
On each sleeve end draw a cuff and a mitten hand. From inside the right hand draw a thin baton.
Step 8: Trousers
Start under the left coat tail. Draw 2 long trouser legs, ending under the right tail.
Tip The legs reach nearly to the bottom of the page.
Step 9: Shoes and ground
Under each trouser leg draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Add a ground line under the shoes.
Step 10: Music notes
In the air at each side draw a music note, a dot with a stick and a little flag.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, peach skin
Colour a pink circle on each cheek, then the face, neck and hands peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Brown hair, red tie
Colour the hair brown and the bow tie red.
Step 13: Grey trousers, black coat
Colour the trousers dark grey. Colour the coat, tails, sleeves, shoes and notes black, leaving the shirt and cuffs white.
