How to Draw a Composition Notebook
Draw a composition notebook in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cover.
Step 1: The cover
In the middle draw a tall box, taller than it is wide, for the notebook cover.
Step 2: Taped spine
Down the left edge draw a narrow strip from top to bottom for the black tape on the spine.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the lower half draw 2 big egg eyes, one eye apart. Colour a black dot in each, with shines.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Name label
Near the top of the cover draw a box for the name label, with 2 lines inside for your name.
Step 6: Marble spots
Draw 4 wobbly marble spots, 2 between the label and the face and 2 below the face.
Tip Spots of different sizes look best: some big, some tiny.
Step 7: More spots
Add 4 tiny spots, 2 above the label, 1 near the right side and 1 under the smile.
Step 8: The pages
Along the right edge draw a thin strip peeking out from behind the cover for the pages.
Step 9: Sparkles and desk
Add 4 sparkles in the air, and a long straight desk line under the notebook.
Step 10: Cream cover and pages
Go over your lines, then colour the cover and pages cream around the spots, cheeks, label and eyes.
Tip Leave the label and the eyes white.
Step 11: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Black spine
Colour the taped spine black, all the way from the top to the bottom.
Step 13: Black spots
Colour all 8 marble spots black, and your composition notebook is ready for class!
