How to Draw a Crown

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a crown in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the band.

Print

  1. Step 1: The band

Below the middle, draw a wide band like a fat belt, bowing down a little at the bottom.

  2. Step 2: The points

Start at the band's top left. Draw a zigzag of 4 tall points across to the top right.

  3. Step 3: Balls on the points

On the tip of each tall point, draw a little round ball.

  4. Step 4: Jewels on the band

On the band, draw a big round jewel in the middle and a tall oval jewel on each side.

  5. Step 5: Gems on the points

On the 2 tallest points, draw a small diamond gem: a square standing on its corner.

  6. Step 6: Band lines

Draw 2 lines across the band, from side to side, one near the top and one near the bottom.

  7. Step 7: A cushion

Draw a plump cushion under the crown, peeking out at both sides. Put a round tassel on all 4 corners.

  8. Step 8: Sparkles

Draw 3 sparkle stars above the crown.

  9. Step 9: Golden crown

Colour the band, the points, the balls and the sparkles yellow.

  10. Step 10: Red and blue jewels

Colour the middle jewel and the 2 gems red, and the oval jewels blue.

  11. Step 11: Purple cushion

Colour the cushion and the tassels purple.
