How to Draw a Dishwasher
Draw a dishwasher in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
In the middle draw a wide box, wider than tall. Add a line across near the top for the buttons.
Tip A dishwasher's door folds down like a drawbridge.
Step 2: The open door
Under the box draw the open door, a flat shape wider at the bottom. Add a thin strip under it.
Step 3: Two big eyes
On the open door draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, with a small flat cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Inside the box
Inside the box draw the opening: from the bottom left go up, across under the button line, and back down.
Step 6: The rack and plates
Near the bottom of the opening draw a rack line from side to side. Stand 3 round plates on it.
Tip Leave a gap between the plates, and give each one a ring inside for the rim.
Step 7: Buttons
On the strip draw 3 small round buttons on the left and a flat box, the display, on the right.
Step 8: Door handle
Along the door's thin strip at the bottom draw a long thin bar in the middle for the handle.
Step 9: Floor
Draw a floor line under the door's edge from one side of the page to the other.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Leave the door, plates and eyes white, and colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Grey box, blue display
Colour the box's frame and the handle light grey, and the display blue.
Step 12: Slate grey inside
Colour the inside and the door's edge slate grey, around the plates and the handle. Your dishwasher is loaded!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a dishwasher, drawn by you.
