How to Draw a Comma
Draw a comma in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the comma.
Step 1: The comma
In the middle draw a fat comma: a big round head with a short fat tail hooking down left.
Tip Keep the tail short and fat, no longer than the head is wide.
Step 2: Two big eyes
On the round head draw 2 round eyes close together. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: A smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, from under the left eye to under the right eye.
Step 4: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the comma draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 5: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 6: A shadow
Across the bottom of the tail tip, draw a thin flat oval for its shadow.
Step 7: The floor
From each side of the shadow, draw a straight floor line out, stopping a thumb from the edge.
Step 8: Yellow sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 9: Grey shadow
Colour the flat oval shadow under the tail grey.
Step 10: Orange comma
Colour the whole comma orange, around the face. Leave the eyes white. Your bubble comma is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a comma, drawn by you.
