How to Draw a Coin Purse

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a coin purse in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the clasp frame.

Print

  1. Step 1: The clasp frame

Above the middle draw the metal frame: a thin rainbow band, 2 low arches close together with joined ends.

  2. Step 2: The round pouch

Start at the outside left end of the frame. Draw a big round pouch and stop at the right end.

  3. Step 3: 2 big eyes

On the pouch draw 2 big egg eyes one eye apart. Colour a big black dot in each.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a wide U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end.

  5. Step 5: Kiss-lock balls

On the very top of the frame draw 2 little balls side by side, touching, for the clasp.

  6. Step 6: Stitches

Just under the frame draw a row of little dashes that follows its curve, from end to end.

  7. Step 7: Coins and ground

Draw a ground line from far left, stop far right, then a coin with a ring and 2 stacked coins.

  8. Step 8: Sparkles

Draw 3 sparkle stars around the purse.

  9. Step 9: Gold frame and coins

Colour the frame, the 2 balls and all the coins yellow like gold.

  10. Step 10: Pink cheeks, yellow sparkles

Colour the 2 cheeks pink and the 3 sparkles yellow.

  11. Step 11: Red pouch

Go over your lines, then colour the pouch red, around the eyes and the cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
