How to Draw a Paper Coffee Cup
Draw a paper coffee cup in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cup.
Step 1: The cup
In the middle, draw a tall cup: a flat top, sides slanting in a little, and a flat bottom.
Tip Like a tall bucket, a little wider at the top.
Step 2: Two big eyes
A little under the top, draw 2 big egg eyes with a small gap. Put a black dot in each.
Tip Leave a clear gap round each eye; nothing else touches them.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 4: The lid
On top of the cup, draw a flat band a little wider than the cup, for the lid's edge.
Step 5: The dome
On the lid, draw a low dome, narrower than the lid, with a small flat sip bump on the right.
Step 6: The sleeve
Under the cheeks, draw a sleeve band round the cup: 2 lines across, a thumb apart, poking out a hair.
Tip The cardboard sleeve sticks out a tiny bit past the cup.
Step 7: A bean logo
In the middle of the sleeve, draw a small tilted egg with a wiggly line down it: a coffee bean.
Step 8: Steam
Start just above the dome and draw 2 wiggly steam lines rising up, stopping before the top of the paper.
Step 9: The table
Start near the left edge and draw the table line under the cup, stopping near the right edge.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Leave the cup and the eyes white, and colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Brown sleeve
Colour the sleeve light brown around the bean logo, and the bean dark brown.
Step 12: Grey lid
Colour the lid and the dome grey, and your paper coffee cup is done!
