How to Draw a Cloudberry

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a cloudberry in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: bottom rounds.

Print

  1. Step 1: Bottom rounds

Left of the middle, draw a row of 5 plump rounds touching, each as big as a grape.

Tip A cloudberry is like a fat orange raspberry, a dome of juicy rounds.

  2. Step 2: Middle rounds

On top, draw 4 rounds tucked into the gaps, peeping out from behind the first row.

  3. Step 3: Top rounds

On top of those, draw 3 more rounds in the gaps, to make a round dome.

  4. Step 4: The leafy collar

Under the berry draw a leafy collar with 3 points, one out each side and one pointing down.

  5. Step 5: A short stem

From the collar's middle point, draw a gently bending stem down to the ground, wider at the bottom.

  6. Step 6: A round leaf

On the right draw a big round leaf with a bumpy edge. Give it a stalk down to the ground.

  7. Step 7: Leaf veins

Start where the stalk meets the leaf. Draw 5 veins fanning out, stopping short of the edge.

  8. Step 8: Ground and grass

Draw the ground line from far left to far right, through the stem bottoms. Flick up a few grass blades.

  9. Step 9: Orange berry

Go over your lines, then colour every round of the berry orange.

  10. Step 10: Green collar and leaf

Colour the collar, the leaf and both stems green, and your cloudberry is done!
