How to Draw Celery
Draw celery in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the middle stalk.
Step 1: The middle stalk
In the middle draw one tall stalk standing up, a little wider at the bottom, with a gently rounded top.
Tip Keep the sides almost straight, like a long ruler.
Step 2: Two side stalks
Draw a thinner stalk on each side, tucked behind the middle one and leaning out a little at the top.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
Low on the middle stalk, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a black dot in each, leaving a tiny shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, and a small oval cheek below each eye.
Step 5: Middle ribs
Draw 2 long lines down the middle stalk, from just under the top to just above the eyes.
Step 6: Side ribs
Draw 2 long lines down each side stalk, from just under the top almost to the bottom.
Step 7: Middle leaves
On top of the middle stalk draw 3 thin stems, each ending in a leaf with 3 round bumps.
Tip Draw the stem first, then the bumpy leaf on its end.
Step 8: Side leaves
On top of each side stalk draw 2 more stems with bumpy leaves, one pointing up and one leaning out.
Step 9: The ground
Draw the ground line from far left to far right, along the bottom of the 3 stalks.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Light green stalks
Colour the 3 stalks light green, around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Dark green leaves
Colour all the leaves and their thin stems dark green, and your celery is done!
