How to Draw a Climbing Wall
Draw a climbing wall in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the wall.
Step 1: The wall
In the middle, draw a tall box, much taller than wide, from near the bottom to near the top.
Step 2: The top ledge
On top of the wall, draw a flat bar a little wider than the wall.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Near the top of the wall, draw 2 big egg eyes side by side, with a black dot and shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a U smile from eye to eye. Add a small flat cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The crash mat
Under the wall, draw a long flat rounded box, wider than the wall. This is the soft mat.
Step 6: Three holds
Down the left side of the wall, draw 3 lumpy holds, each with a bolt dot in the middle.
Step 7: Three more holds
Down the right side, draw 3 more lumpy holds, each a different shape, with a bolt dot.
Step 8: Last holds
Under the smile, draw the last 3 holds in a wiggly line down the middle, with bolt dots.
Tip Spread the holds out like stepping stones.
Step 9: Sparkles and floor
Add 2 sparkles in the air and a floor line under the mat from well left to well right.
Step 10: Yellow holds, sky mat
Go over your lines. Colour the 3 left holds and both sparkles yellow, and the crash mat sky blue.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, grey wall
Colour the cheeks pink. Colour the wall grey around the holds and cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Step 12: Green and red holds
Colour the 3 middle holds green and the 3 right holds red.
Step 13: Slate top ledge
Colour the top ledge slate blue, and your climbing wall is ready to climb!
