How to Draw a Scotland Flag
Draw a scotland flag in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: pole and ground.
Step 1: Pole and ground
Draw a tall thin pole on the left, a ball on top, and a ground line from edge to edge.
Step 2: The waving flag
Start on the pole below the ball. Draw a wavy top edge, a straight right side, a wavy bottom edge.
Tip Make the bottom edge copy the wave of the top edge.
Step 3: Top V
Start on the top edge near the left corner. Draw a wide V down to the middle and back up.
Tip Stop the point of the V just above the middle of the flag.
Step 4: Bottom V
Start on the bottom edge near the left corner. Draw an upside-down V up to the middle and back.
Tip Leave a gap between the two points: that gap is the middle of the X.
Step 5: Left V
Start on the pole near the top corner. Draw a sideways V to the middle and back to the pole.
Step 6: Right V
Start on the right side near the top corner. Draw a sideways V in to the middle and back.
Tip The 4 Vs leave a big X with arms all the same width.
Step 7: Wind lines
Off the right edge of the flag draw 3 short wind lines.
Step 8: Yellow ball
Colour the ball on top of the pole yellow.
Step 9: Grey pole
Colour the pole grey.
Step 10: Blue triangles
Colour the 4 triangles blue and leave the big X white. Go over your lines. Your Scotland flag is waving!
Tip Colour the blue right up to the lines, with no white gaps.
