How to Draw a Circle
Draw a circle in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a light cross.
Step 1: A light cross
Lightly draw a long flat line. Cross its middle with an upright line exactly the same length.
Tip Press softly. All 4 arms of the cross must be the same length.
Step 2: The circle
Draw one smooth round loop through all 4 line ends, back to where you started.
Tip Go slowly and turn your paper as you draw. No flat bits and no corners.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Rub out the cross. In the middle of the circle draw 2 big egg eyes with black dots and shines.
Tip Leave a tiny white dot in each black dot. That is the shine.
Step 4: Big smile
Leave a gap under the eyes, then draw a wide U smile from under one eye to the other.
Step 5: Rosy cheeks
Under the outside of each eye, clear of the smile, draw a tiny sideways oval for a cheek.
Step 6: Sparkles
Draw 2 sparkle stars on each side of the circle, one high and one low.
Tip A sparkle star has 4 points: up, down, left and right.
Step 7: The floor
Under the circle, draw a long floor line from far left to far right, just touching its bottom.
Step 8: Pink cheeks
Colour the 2 cheeks rosy pink.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles
Colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Red circle
Go over your lines and colour the circle red, around the pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white. You're done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a circle, drawn by you.
