How to Draw a Christmas Card
Draw a Christmas card in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the card front.
Step 1: The card front
A little left of the middle of your paper draw a tall box, taller than it is wide.
Step 2: The card opens
From the top right corner, slant a line up, then straight down, then almost flat back to the bottom corner.
Step 3: The tree top
On the front, above the middle, draw a small triangle pointing up. This is the top of the tree.
Step 4: Two more tiers
Under it draw a wider triangle, then a wider one still. Each one overlaps the one above.
Step 5: Trunk and snow
Draw a box trunk under the tree. Start at the left edge, draw a snowy curve, stop at the right.
Step 6: Star and baubles
On the very top of the tree draw a star. Dot 4 little round baubles on the tiers.
Step 7: Snowflakes
On each side of the star, draw a snowflake: 3 crossing lines with a little V on each end.
Step 8: Sparkles
On the inside page draw 2 little sparkles, each a star with 4 pointy ends.
Step 9: Ground and shadow
Around the bottom of the card draw a flat oval shadow. Add a ground line out from each end.
Step 10: Yellow star
Go over your lines. Colour the star and the 2 sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Cream front
Colour the front of the card cream, around the tree and snowflakes. Leave the snow white.
Step 12: Green tree, brown trunk
Colour all 3 tiers of the tree green around the baubles, and the trunk brown.
Step 13: Red page, grey shadow
Colour the baubles and inside page red, around the sparkles, and the shadow grey. Your card is ready!
