How to Draw a Chopper Motorcycle

13 steps · Medium · about 10 min

Draw a chopper motorcycle in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two wheels far apart.

Print

  1. Step 1: Two wheels far apart

Low down, draw 2 big circles a wide gap apart, smaller on the left. Add rims and hubs.

Tip The gap is wider than a whole wheel.

  2. Step 2: Back fender

Over the back wheel only, draw a fat rainbow band, a finger out from the tyre.

  3. Step 3: Big headlight

Above the front wheel, halfway up, draw a big circle headlight with a smaller circle inside.

  4. Step 4: Long raked fork

Behind the headlight, draw a short flat line. From each end, slant a long line down-left to the front hub.

Tip The fork leans far forward, like a ladder on a wall.

  5. Step 5: Long low tank

From the fork below the headlight, draw a long low gas tank humping back, ending above the fender.

  6. Step 6: Seat and sissy bar

From the tank, draw a long low seat over the fender. Add a short bent bar up from its back.

  7. Step 7: Engine and frame

Under the tank, draw an engine box with 3 fins. Loop a fat tube down, under, back to the wheel.

  8. Step 8: Long exhaust pipe

From low on the engine, curl a fat pipe under and back, stopping before the tyre. Add a round cover.

  9. Step 9: Ape-hanger bars

From the fork top, draw a tall fat bar bending to a grip. Add a round mirror on a stick.

  10. Step 10: Spokes and road

In each wheel, draw 4 spoke lines like an X. Draw a road line under both tyres, edge to edge.

  11. Step 11: Yellow headlight

Colour the headlight glass yellow, leaving a little curved shine white.

  12. Step 12: Grey metal

Colour the metal grey: engine, fork, frame, exhaust, bars, mirror, hubs, and the rim around the light.

  13. Step 13: Purple tank, black tyres

Go over your lines. Colour the tank and fender purple, tyres and seat black, around the grey. Leave rims white.
